Ozone over Fairbanks
You can find the total column ozone amount* over your Fairbanks, Alaska using data from Earth Probe TOMS**. Just enter the date you want.
NOTE: Ozone value for days up to and including
yesterday are available;
ozone values for today are not available.
NOTES
* This value is the total column ozone amount, NOT the amount of
ozone that causes smog (and that you hear about from your local weatherman). The TOMS
measurements are not sensitive enough to measure changes in the amount of ozone this close
to the ground.
**Earth Probe TOMS does not have full global coverage over the earth from
-60 to 60 degrees
latitude before 5-December-97 and from -30 to 30 degrees latitude after 13-December-97 (no
data are available
between 5-Dec-97 and 13-Dec-97).
Therefore, it cannot provide an ozone measurement for every latitude and longitude on a given
day.
